The 'Weather' application on iOS avoids 69 degrees, here's the reason

Aplikasi Weather di iOS

There is an interesting fact about Apple's weather app or 'weather'.

Launching from Gizchina, the Weather app on iOS cannot display the number 69 at the Fahrenheit temperature.

The Gizchina report says that the 'weather' app has consistently avoided temperatures of 69 degrees Fahrenheit.

This is not because the number 69 is identical to the adult number or the number that shows the position in having sex.

However, the weather app avoids the number 69 due to a minor bug.

The bug in the Weather app is caused by the software that Apple uses in the app.

The Weather app initially relied on temperature data in degrees Celsius and then converted them to Fahrenheit.

For example, 20 degrees Celsius equals 68 degrees Fahrenheit, and 21 degrees Celsius equals 69.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

So, when the temperature shows 21 degrees Celsius, the Weather application will automatically convert it to 70 degrees Fahrenheit as rounding.

This bug does not only occur at 69 degrees Fahrenheit, but also at 65.

The Weather application seems reluctant to display the number 65 degrees Fahrenheit and chooses to jump to the number 64 or 66 degrees as rounding.

For information, the Weather application on iOS 11.2.1 is able to display the numbers 69 and 65.

However, for iOS 14.6 devices the bug is still encountered and it looks like it will be fixed soon to increase temperature accuracy.
