For that, Google offers a feature where you can connect Google Maps with Apple Music to bring up the playback menu directly from Maps without the need to open Apple Music.

Connect Google Maps with Apple Music on iPhone
- Open the Google Maps app.
- Tap the profile icon in the top right corner.
- Tap the Settings option.
- Tap the Navigation option.
- Tap the Music playback controls option.
- Tap the Apple Music option.
- A pop up will appear containing permission to access Apple Music, tap OK.
After the process is complete, then when you start your journey to a destination, you will find the option to control Apple Music directly from Google Maps.
