Information about the iPhone 13 has recently returned. Leaker Mark Gurman, and Debby Wu, a new exclusive from Bloomberg revealed that Apple has dropped plans to introduce an in-display Touch ID fingerprint reader for the iPhone 13 lineup.
As is known, for several years, the iPhone only supports unlocking with face ID. However, due to the Covid-19 virus, it requires some people to always wear a mask, making it difficult to unlock the iPhone.
This problem was also solved by Apple who designed a new feature to help users unlock iPhone quickly when wearing a mask. While this feature allows Apple to unlock the phone in seconds while wearing a mask, not all iPhone users have an Apple Watch.
Therefore, most Apple users are looking forward to the re-introduction of the Touch ID feature on the iPhone 13. At the beginning of the year, there were reports that the Apple iPhone 13 series might use Touch ID technology.

Gurman said the company has tested an in-display fingerprint scanner for devices this year, but that feature is unlikely to appear this generation.
The report also claims that the latest flagship iPhones will use Face ID + Touch ID dual authentication.
Gurman reveals that the iPhone 13 still only has one biometric method: Face ID. “Apple has been testing under-display fingerprinting for devices this year, but this feature may not appear on this generation of iPhones.
iPhone 13 will launch in mid-September. If later the iPhone 13 security system only comes with Face ID, it will definitely reduce the unlock experience in some areas.

As previously reported, the next generation iPhone seems to be bringing improvements from the previous one. According to a new report from DigiTimes, it claims that the upcoming iPhone 13 could sport a smaller Notch design. This is because Apple introduced a redesigned Face ID system.
The Face ID system is said to take up less space, and thus, may result in the Notch on the phone being smaller.
Furthermore, the report claims that this is possible because the various sensors used will be combined into the same camera module, making it similar to the design of the LiDAR scanner on the rear-facing camera. Thus, it helps reduce the Notch size in the process.
However, it is not yet known how mini Notch Apple will carry on the iPhone 13. This is actually not the first time there have been rumors about a smaller Notch position on the iPhone 13. However, keep in mind that everything is still just a rumor although sometimes it doesn't go wrong.
