Apple is preparing new innovations for the future iPhone. The latest information states that in the list of the US Patent and Trademark Office or the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) there is a patent entitled 'Camera Attachment and Image Data Processing for Temperature Measurement, embedding camera and image data processing for temperature measurement.
Although Apple has not officially announced what the patent is for, but from the explanation and images in the USPTO patent it is enough to explain that this temperature camera patent is intended for future iPhone smartphones.
In the patent, it is explained that Apple uses a camera that can estimate body temperature based on the image it sees. The camera is a separate device, once attached to the iPhone, the phone will become a temperature gauge. These additional cameras will be passive, or require no power.

This means that this temperature measuring camera will be equipped with a frame so that it can be paired with an iPhone camera and temperature reactive material (TRM) temperature measurement technology.
"The frame is configured to place the TRM within the camera's field of view so that the image captured by the camera includes a portion of the TRM," the patent explains.
The way this camera works is to detect the temperature of an object when the camera is pointed at the object and it will appear in the form of numbers. In addition to temperature numbers, this camera will also describe the temperature of an object through a color.

When the color is getting redder, it indicates that the object has a high temperature. Furthermore, this camera will not be embedded in future iPhone smartphones. This is because the technology in the camera is very difficult and almost impossible to embed on any smartphone.
Therefore, in this patent it can be seen that Apple is planning this camera as a separate product for the future iPhone. Until now, there is still no official information regarding the release time of this future iPhone device temperature camera.
Apple has previously offered a number of health features such as measuring heart rate, stress, sleep hours to oxygen saturation in the blood on Apple Watch smartwatches.

However, because it was just patented at the USPTO a few days ago, it is likely that this device will not be released in the near future.
